Workshops
Bodywork can get really complex. Intricate. Scientific.
But it doesn’t always need to be.
When it comes from someone you care about, even brief, casual touch is therapeutic. It’s proven to reduce the effects of stress, improve sleep, and increase immune function. It fosters connection with the release of oxytocin, the bonding hormone, as well as serotonin and dopamine.
So why do we shy away from giving each other massage? Because we don’t know how! Maybe it hurts your hands, or you’re not confident in our technique, or you just find it exhausting.
Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be that way! Massage can actually be very easy to give - you just need the right tools.
Partner Massage
In this fun and active 4-hour workshop, we will connect and learn through a combination of step-by-step demonstration and hands on assistance. This workshop is BYOP (Bring Your Own Partner) and is for ‘partners’ of all types - not just romantic! You can do this work with your roommate, sibling, best friend, bandmate, parent, or metamour - anyone you care for and want to deepen your connection with.
We’ll cover topics such as:
+ Communication and consent
+ Cautions and contraindications
+ Body mechanics
+ Positioning
+ Tools and techniques
This workshop is done fully clothed, and the techniques learned can be used anywhere - your living room, a cargo van, the beach, you name it!
We’re planting the seeds here to build lifelong skills! You’ll leave this class with a solid understanding of safe, easy, and effective techniques for every area of the body, as well as a foundation for continued learning and connection.
The exchange for this 4-hour workshop is $99 per person, with some sliding scale priced spots in each workshop. Each participant will receive a detailed handbook and a small container of hypoallergenic massage cream. Sign up here.
